The 63rd Melbourne Boat Show, held from 16 to 19 October 2025 at Docklands, has been hailed as a resounding success, drawing close to 39,000 boating enthusiasts and industry professionals.
This free event showcased the vibrancy and resilience of Victoria's marine industry, offering attendees a comprehensive experience of the boating lifestyle.

Spanning over 1.2 kilometers of waterfront and marina displays, the show featured more than 100 exhibitors presenting a diverse array of vessels, from sleek runabouts to luxury cruisers. The event also highlighted the latest in marine technology and accessories, catering to both seasoned sailors and newcomers to the boating world.

A significant focus of this year's show was the 'Women on Water' initiative, aimed at increasing female participation in boating. With women representing just 19% of marine licence holders in Victoria, the program sought to inspire confidence and break down barriers to entry, reflecting the industry's commitment to inclusivity and growth.

Attendees were treated to a variety of entertainment activations, including live stage presentations, interactive demonstrations, and family-friendly activities. The Heritage & Wooden Boat precinct offered a glimpse into maritime history, while the Suzuki Seafood Precinct featured live cooking demonstrations by renowned chef Paul Burt.

Exhibitors reported strong interest and sales throughout the event. Neil Webster from Sirocco/BRIG expressed his satisfaction, stating, "The interest has been very strong. We've sold boats; it's way beyond my expectations." Similarly, Michelle Brittain from Mullies Marine and Geelong Marine World noted, "It's been a fantastic show this year; the vibe has been high. We've had plenty of foot traffic through, and obviously, it's led to sales for us this year."

The success of the Melbourne Boat Show underscores the enduring appeal of boating in Victoria and the strength of the local marine industry. As the event concluded, attention now turns to future initiatives, including the upcoming Gippsland Lakes Boat Show scheduled for 27 February to 1 March 2026 in Paynesville, promising continued growth and engagement within the boating community.
