The 56th Sydney International On-Water Boat Show has wrapped up after four dynamic days at Darling Harbour, drawing over 20,000 visitors and featuring more than 160 vessels from 120 leading international and Australian marine brands.
This year's event underscored the strength and appeal of Australia's marine lifestyle and industry.

Presented by the Boating Industry Association Ltd (BIA) in partnership with Mulpha Events, the show transformed Cockle Bay into a vibrant marina, showcasing the latest in design, technology, and innovation. The inclusion of trailerable boats and specialty tow vehicles reflected the growing popularity of versatile boating options among Australians.

A significant addition this year was the Discover Boating Festival Hub, which opened the event precinct to the general public for free for the first time in the show's 56-year history. Located in areas such as Palm Grove, Tumbalong Boulevard, and Tumbalong Park, the hub offered interactive activations, live entertainment, and gourmet food and wine experiences, engaging a diverse audience and promoting inclusivity within the boating community.

BIA President Adam Smith highlighted the show's success in providing a platform for the marine industry to showcase new products, connect with buyers, and elevate brand profiles. The event also served as a testament to the industry's economic significance, generating over $10 billion in turnover and supporting 35,000 Australian jobs.

Exhibitors reported positive outcomes, with Ray White Marine CEO Brock Rodwell noting a steady flow of qualified crowds and successful deals, including contracts and deposits for significant vessels. The show's timing in November, with warm weather and twilight hours, further enhanced the overall vibrancy and appeal of the Australian boating lifestyle.

As the event concluded, the BIA expressed gratitude to all exhibitors, sponsors, suppliers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the 2025 Sydney International On-Water Boat Show, marking it as a standout celebration of Australia's marine industry and lifestyle.
